The third grade classes are learning about the city government in social studies. As part of this unit, Mr. Carney came to visit both third grade classes to talk about his job as Mayor of Birmingham.

News: I'm excited to announce that Mr. Donald F. Carney Jr., the Mayor of Birmingham will be visiting the third grade classes on Wednesday, January 9th. This visit fits with the social studies curriculum and Mr. Carney will be talking to the kids about his job as the mayor. We are looking forward to his visit!
